As a result of legislation enacted in 2006, all New York State Fire Districts must conduct
a budget hearing on the third Tuesday in October, which this year is October I
WI.., 20 II. EachBoard of Fire Commissioners should schedule
a meeting to discuss the budgetary needs of thedistrict in 2012. This meeting or meetings, which arc public meetings requiring notice to your
official newspaper or newspapers, should be conducted in August or early September. There are
certain notification and hearing dates which must be complied with pursuant
to the 2006legislation. They are
